Lol, why am I referring to babe? It is just because a see my PC as my girlfriend, and ones girlfriend must be kept safe. So let me stop my babbling and show you five tips you need to know about protecting your PC.
Tip 1: Always keep your Firewall Turned On
Firewall helps protect your computer from hackers. If you’ve been having troubles with your firewall, don’t turn it off, rather, go into security options and make sure that it knows when you make exceptions. A firewall can block important downloads and slow down online games and so on, but without the firewall, you’re going naked against hackers .
Tip 2: Install and update your antivirus AND anti-spyware software
Anti-virus and Anti-spyware software work based on a database of known malware. In order to keep data safe, you need to keep that database up to date. There are lot of programs out there that claim to be anti-viral software but are in fact Trojans and malware designed to create pops-ups and crash your computer under the guise of protecting your PC.

There are always updates for every Operating System, some tools that were not added when you first got your system will be included once you update your Operating System, which makes it more secure against attack.
Tip 4: Watch what you download
Don’t use download everything that comes your way. Make sure that you download what you need from a trusted site and make sure it is scanned for viruses before right clicking and saving. Be more careful of sites that offer downloads, like games, videos etc, many of those sites contains virus, so make your findings about good sites that have what you want.
