Did you know rapper Godwon was once arrested for burglary?

The above rap sheet is apparently that of Nigerian rapper Neyu Godwin Nyan, better known to the public as Godwon. This report became public after Godwon mocked friend-turned-foe Sinzu, who is currently embroiled in a $300 debit card fraud case.


 ‘Everybody gets broke! Myself included but don’t tarnish me when ur a purse snatcher on the run,‘ Godwon wrote on April 18, 2014, mocking Sinzu on Twitter. Well, he without sin… Godwon’s rap sheet was taken from The Fort Bend/Southwest Star, a website for the The Fort Bend county jail in Texas, and was filed by a LeaAnne Klentzman back in 2009. The report states that Godwon was arrested in Pecan Grove, TX on January 12, 2009 for ‘burglary of a habitation’, and local authorities found that the rapper gained entry into an unlocked garage and stole property. 

He was caught with a gold bag, a black bag and a container of candy (yes, you read that right) in his hand. NET tried to reach the rapper via e-mail and phone calls but has not received a response from him. Godwon returned to Nigeria in 2010 to push his rap music career. He signed with Serengeti Music and released his debut ‘Evolution’ in August 2011, with the singles ‘Too much money’ and a remix which featured Sinzu (then known as Sauce Kid) and Ikechukwu....
